‘Since the Garden’ is a sculptural body of work by visual artist Dhrupat Subramanian exploring how the memory of places one might call home intertwines with feelings of displacement and longing. Dhrupat uses bold and naturally warped structures to signify resilience and adaptation, while using impossibly thin and fragile ceramic lines to portray feelings of yearning and fading attachments to people, place, and time, only accessible through memory.
