About

Dhrupat Subramanian is a multi-disciplinary visual–artist currently working with clay to explore his nomadic lifestyle and the fragmented relationship between memory and displacement. Having lived his early years between multiple countries, his experiences are marked by a separation from home but also an openness to the world.  He uses his lived experience to tell stories of how the intersection of identity and cultures can intertwine to create new meaning to one’s existence. His sculptures capture the thoughts and emotions that relive his memories of peoples and places from the past.
